Simon specializes in issues relating to both pain management and the spinal
cord. A member of such medical organizations as the American Pain Society, the
North American Spine Society, the American Academy of Pain Management, and the
International Spinal Injection Society, Dr. Roy Simon regularly delivers
presentations in his areas of knowledge. Some of these topics include “Current
Approaches to Multi-Disciplinary Treatment of Chronic Spinal Pain,” “High Level
Acuity Pain Management,” and “Spinal Diagnostics & Therapeutic.” He has also
spoken on these matters on television when interviewed by news affiliates in San
Diego and Los Angeles.
Roy Simon, MD, studied at State University
of New York Downstate Medical Center, where he earned his medical degree and
received honors in neurology and commendations in anatomy. While working as a
resident at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center, he took the Best Resident’s Lecture
Award as well as the Award for Outstanding Academic Achievement. Dr. Roy Simon
focused on anesthesia for obstetrics, cardiothoracic anesthesia, and anesthesia
for orthotopic liver transplants and heart transplants during his fellowship at
the UCLA Pain Management Center in Los Angeles.
The American Board of Anesthesiology has certified Dr. Roy Simon, who is also
a Diplomate of the American Academy of Pain Management. Licensed as a physician
and surgeon in the State of California, Roy Simon, MD, is also a licensed
fluoroscopy Xray supervisor and operator. The Center for Ambulatory Surgical
Treatment, Coast Surgery Center, and Torrance Memorial Medical Center are among
his hospital affiliations.
